It increasingly appears like Sen. Rick Santorum, R-PA, is a sexually repressed lunatic who has fallen off the deep end. With not a hint of sarcasm or hyperbole, I must ask, based on his recent comments, if he is genuinely insane?

According to The Boston Gobe, Senator Rick Santorum refused yesterday to back off on his earlier statements connecting Boston's ''liberalism" with the Roman Catholic Church pedophile scandal, saying that the city's ''sexual license" and ''sexual freedom" nurtured an environment where sexual abuse would occur.

''The basic liberal attitude in that area . . . has an impact on people's behavior," Santorum said in an interview yesterday at the Capitol.
''If you have a world view that I'm describing [about Boston] . . . that affirms alternative views of sexuality, that can lead to a lot of people taking it the wrong way," Santorum said.

Santorum, a leader among Christian conservatives, was responding to questions about remarks he made three years ago on a website called Catholic Online. In those comments, Santorum said, ''It is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political, and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm" of the clergy sexual abuse scandal.

US Representative Barney Frank, a Newton Democrat, called Santorum ''a jerk" and pointed out that the senator tried to use the levers of the federal government to block the removal of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube, an act that Santorum likened to ''execution." An autopsy found that Schiavo's brain was half the normal size and that she could not see anything.

''This is one of those people who claims to have had eye contact with a blind woman," Frank said.

Frank is right on target with his shot at Santorum, a man who once said that legalizing sodomy between consenting adults would lead to "man on dog" sex. It seems to me, that Santorum may secretly want to enter all kinds of sexual arenas that the average person would never imagine. The only thing keeping him from hooking up with Fido, based on his bizarre logic, are laws that outlaw such behavior. Whatever his true passions, it is increasingly clear that Santorum is one sick dude. The citizens of Pennsylvania must be bowing their heads in shame knowing they elected such a weirdo to represent their state.

Ricky Sanatorium neglects the fact that ROME is the center of the RC church, not Boston. And Boston's 'liberalism' may be the very reason that the maggots in the church involved in and covering up the child molestations were exposed to the light of day.
Ultra conservative societies have the same amount of sexual abuse and perversion as any other 'open' society, it just APPEARS that they dont because it's all so hidden, suppressed and 'not talked about'. Rape rooms in Iraq were not the result of their liberal society, quite the opposite!
I've read that Queen Victoria didnt believe in lesbianism because "women could never do such things". Meanwhile, in the Victorian world all sorts of nasty and perverted abuses (including children) were going on behind closed doors.
With the likes of santorum, bush and rove et. al. in power, it makes me wonder why the shit always seems to float to the top!

I read a story that Santorum actually has a top aide who considers himself openly gay - Traynham or something like that. Can you imagine the self-loathing of a gay man who'd work for a freak like Santorum.

This abuse, and that of the Magdelene Laundries, not only goes back WAY before Boston or MA was so liberal, but it's not confined to America.
These abuses are even worse where the masses have less options for defense or complaint, like in Latin America, Africa or rural Asia.
Santorum conveniently subverts serious history, and therefore the truth of how the powerful are corrupted.

Also, you must not forget that he took his still born child home from the hospital so it could be passed around for his kids to hold.

I wonder what sex with him is like... no, on second thought... I don't want to know.

I don't think he's necessarily sick. He's just skilled at manipulating the very worst elements of the human psyche. As Hitler showed my family as a collection of back-stabbing, murderous money-grubbers, Santorum shows gays and people who accept us as a danger to morality and especially to children.
