Sandy Rios, former
Concerned Women President and nutcake with big hair, was canned as the Director of Programs for the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. The I.F.C.J is a group started by a "rabbi" named Yechiel Eckstein who has found a way to inveigle millions of dollars from conservative Christians. The evangelicals give tons of money to his "Jewish" group so he can help assure them that Israel will be in Jewish hands, which will set the stage, according to their beliefs, for a happy Jesus to return to Jerusalem.
Of course, once Jesus returns, the Jews must convert or die in Armageddon. It is a tidy scam, really. Jesus isn't coming anytime soon, so Eckstein gets to collect an endless fortune from gullible Midwestern fundamentalists. (Before you write, I promise if He returns I'll apologize profusely.)
Back to Rios.
The New York Times Magazine did a cover story on this brilliant rabbi/businessman. (What he does is only unethical, not illegal in any way) While trying to convince America that the fundamentalists don't mean any harm to Jews, Sandy Rios - the zealous buffoon - interjects and offers this advice:
Throughout this conversation, [Sandy] Rios was clearly eager to join in. And as soon as there was a pause in the discussion, she did. "You know," she said, "the truth is, Christians do want to convert Jews."
Eckstein and Mamo exchanged glances. "Not by some bait-and-switch trick," she said. "But we believe it's part of God's plan." Eckstein winced the way he had when Pastor Munsey called him a born-again Christian.
"Anyway," Rios said, "we love Jews, notwithstanding their rudeness and hatred for us."
Three days later, Eckstein called me in New York. Rios had been fired, but her gaffe, and the impression it made, was still on his mind. "It's really my fault," he said. "Hiring staff is a problem. Truthfully, it's extremely hard to find people who understand exactly what we're doing here."
Way to go Sandy. Not only did you lose your job, but you also exposed the I.F.C.J. for the right wing front group that it actually is. People who want to help Jews only to expedite the End Times are no friend of Israel. Eckstein should disband his group before it does any more harm. As for Sandy, I think I may have seen a want ad for a crackpot fundamentalist on Monster.com last week.

Wayne, why put the word "rabbi" in quotation marks? Are you implying there's something not quite right about his credentials (his "smicha" in Hebrew)? If not, then he should just be referred to as a rabbi. In the same way that we call the other people whom we disagree with lawyer, judge, Senator, President, etc. without making a comment about their job. :-)

Sandy Rios is one of the bravest, most courageous, Christian women in the world today, a voice that tells the TRUTH. People who are of this world do not love truth - they hate it and they hate those who tell the truth. Jesus warned us in His Word - therefore, we are to continue being salt and light in this world until Jesus comes again. I wish there were more women who stood for truth as Sandy does. Thank you, Sandy, for your commitment to the Lord - your reward is great!

I have no idea who you are or what you represent. I happened upon your site while looking up articles on Sandy Rios and found your over-the-top character assassination. Whether you like or don't like her views or her hair, you obviously don't know her as a person. I have been a friend of Sandy's for almost 25 years and she is one of the nicest folks I have ever known, besides being tremendously intelligent and a serious musical talent, too. She certainly speaks her mind, and when she does, you are free to agree or disagree.

I too was looking for aticles regarding Sandy Rios when I happened upon this piece of... it's not journalism, it's not a serious article on what is really happening in the Jewish/Christian community,oh I get it, it's about fashion.
"A baffoon" I had to acutally laugh at that one. Maybe it is a comedy piece?
I listened to Sandy for years in Chicago, she is extremley competent and knows her stuff and loves Jesus with all her heart, believe me God has her back and her hair.
You try to have a good day now and not be so mean spirited.

To the last couple of posters who think Sandy is a wonderful person and that her reward is great. First, Sandy is a bigot, plain and simple. There is nothing truly Christian about her. I think Sandy herself must have some personal demons that she is trying hard to hide. It's typically that kind of person who spews so much hatred toward other groups that aren't exactly like them. She reminds me of Anita Bryant - perhaps (hopefully) she will fall off of the map just as Ms. Bryant did with her tirades in the 70's. Anyone see the movie "Saved," Sandy is the main character of that movie. The character is played by Mandy Moore who does a great job. So for all of you born agains out there that think that God only loves you and that you only will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, think again! Stop using your self righteousness to think that you can twist the words of Jesus into hatred and discrimination of every group that doesn't believe the way you believe.

As for the comments on who gets into heaven. Your problem is not with what we as Christians say. Your problem is what Jesus said on the subject. "I am the way, and the truth, and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father but through Me." (John 14:6) Now you are left with the task of disproving the Bible as the Word of God. And I have every confidence that if you truely "open your mind", and look at all the evidence, you will be left with the same conclusion that some of the greatest minds in history have come to, which is, the Bible is the very Word of God. I urge you to repent of your sins as I have and give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ. If I am wrong, I have simply lead my life in a good and moral life and in the end have lost nothing. However, if you are wrong there is eternity in Hell to suffer through. Please consider my plea.

Indeed. What a poor piece of journalism (for lack of a more appropriate word). Anyone who would call her a bigot, racist or any other hateful term is obviously not familiar with the woman. Too bad for you. The other possibility is that you hate her message so much that you hate her as well. Even worse for you as you have no sense of openness or tolerance for other views. Well, I went through school with her. She was Sandra back then, and she led a verrry sheltered youth. No TV, didn't date until late high school; we even went out once. She was sweet back then, laughed a lot and even danced at Teen Town. I don't know if she's a bigot now, a racist or any of the other stuff being said here, but I do know, by her own comments to me in an email, that she prefers to have little recollection of her small-town upbringing. That says something, I'm just not sure what. What I do see here is a character who is extreme in views and fraught with troubles in her life (though perhaps 'tested by the Lord' is more in line with this kind of thinking. How is it that the 'faithful' are tested with adversity, but the 'rest' of us are punished?) It's all about cherrypicking what you want out of religion and handily separating yourself from the mainstream. It happens in EVERY religion - and yes, I'm talking about 'those other guys who want to kill us'. Extreme fundamentalism is what it is: extreme. And people who want to push for the End Times are only driving the wedges deeper. Why do they think Jesus would return any sooner because of their hateful actions? It's absurd.
If you really want to live your life as Jesus, or Buddha, or any other religious icon would have you live it, start and end it with love. And 'if 2 or more of you are gathered' in one of those names, it's love that should be flowing, not judgment, not hatred, and certainly not personal gain. I repeat, NOT JUDGMENT between you. That's not your job or your place in the scheme of life. Read the book; I've read it and it's very clear on that. Judge not, lest ye be judged; and the associated corollary, it's easier for a camel to pass thru the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom. Y'all better get straight with that.
And I'm not anonymous, just not a subscriber. The name is Jack. And I still feel kinda sorry for Sandra. She IS verrry talented and smart. But it seems she's become what I call a 'twisted Christian'. Knowledge is light, kids; study history very closely, especially the early history of the Christian faith. I do believe it started in purity and really had something that mankind needed, but that was subjugated from the first re-written collection of parables onward (the collection that we now call the Bible - written by men - MEN, I tell you) and re-written over and over, into what we have today - they don't call it the King James version for no reason. Christianity today is a mess - splintered, fractious and seething with the hatred they (pretend to) decry. It's been pretty much like this for, oh I don't know, maybe 800 years(!). And in this day and age, with all the communication we have at our fingertips, we're still getting it wrong. Greed, my friends, and 'I'll get mine and yours too' is what's driving the car. The big car with room for everyone, but some people want to lock the doors and smile through the window.

Her kind is why slavery in America last for more than 350 years. The big red cross she carries is red with the blood of someone that believed differently, looked differently. or lived in a different country. If what you believe does not put emphasis on love, and the love of all beings, then you may want to rethink that Jesus thing, or what ever person or thing you decide to put before the Creator. After watching this Rios buffoon on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday 22nd Sept., and listening to her (broken) English- "Pakistan is an ally to us" (Pakistan is an ally of ours), I can only shake my head in dismay! I too saw Sandy Rios on Real Time with Bill Maher. I thought she was without a doubt the most stupid human being I had ever seen. She simply lacked any shred of comprehension regarding the discussion going on around her, as she must regarding the consequences of what is happening in the world at this time. She is a perfect example of blind faith that surrounds a person with a thick fog of piety. She knows not that she knows not. Pitiful creature!

WOW. You people certainly have some strong opinions. Out of curiousity, I have a question for both sides of your argument, having no personal vested interest in either side.

Non-Christians take up the issue on judging in hopes that it will force Christians to be quiet. If, however, a serious Biblical word study is done on the words "judge" and "judgement", it will become clear that God holds people accountable to in fact make judgments. The often quoted phrase out of Matthew chapter seven, if read down through verse five, reveals that if a person first rids themselves of hypocritical behaviour they then are qualified to render judgment. Paul the apostle likewise, in Romans 2.1-3, said that a hypocrite has no power to judge another for what he himself is doing. Again, in Luke 12.54-57, Jesus chastised Jewish leaders for knowing how to discern signs of the weather but not making good moral judgements. In John 7.24 Jesus said "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." Going back to the Old Testament, Leviticus 19.15 says "Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour." Proverbs 24.23 says "It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment." All of this and more points clearly to the accountability of men and women to make non-hypocritical, moral judgments with regard to their life circumstances and the opinions of others. Sandy Rios, like her or not, knows the Book of her faith and what her Lord requires. Hope I can be more like her someday, because the One she wants to be more like is HIM! Keep it up, Sandy!

心中一阵不安升降机，因为我忽然又想起了那道剑光升降平台，可怕的剑光升降台，美丽的剑光登车桥。为什么那一剑是那么的美丽货架，却又那么的可怕呢集装袋？在我倒下之前我说地磅，好美的剑塑料托盘，好恨的剑塑料托盘。我倒下了仓储笼。在我失去知觉之前仓储笼，我听到他说北京货架，这叫艺术超市货架，剑的艺术北京货架。

我走了货架公司。我头也不回的走了塑料托盘。没有取回我的刀塑料托盘，因为我觉得它在我身边已经没用塑料托盘，我后悔我十年前为什么不扔了它塑料托盘？我听到了尸体倒下的声音塑料托盘。我流泪了塑料托盘，我真的不想杀他仓储笼，十年前不想仓储笼，十年后也不想仓储笼，因为我下山时答应过师父仓储笼，一切让着他仓储笼。
