John Evan's, the co-founder of ex-gay ministry Love In Action, today expressed dismay that the "ex-gay" ministries are trying to rewrite history by not mentioning leaders who dropped out. In his own words, he discusses how the group was founded, his best friend commited suicide, and how the ministry was based on lies and deception. This is a crucial historical document that is worth reading.
Thank goodness that John Evans, one of the original founders of Love In Action, is finally speaking out. It's chilling that this "ex-gay" group used 6 testimonies of gays and lesbians in their book "The Third Sex," when not even one person from the book ever changed. The information from the "ex-gay" movement is 100% bogus. At one point, I went undercover and attended the Love In Action program. During a private conversation with Frank Worthen, then the director of LIA, he confessed to me that he knew that none of the people in "The Third Sex" had changed. I asked him why he continue to promote the book if it's a lie? He said it's because it's the best advertising tool they had. He said, "That's why we get people from all over the world coming to us." What Frank didn't say is that the more people came, the more funding LIA got from several churches in the area. The only cure was keeping Frank in his job. It didn't matter how many lives he ruined and how many people he was responsible for killing themseves. Now I hear that he is even trying to rewrite history and tell everyone he alone founded LIA. He DID NOT. It was John Evans, Bev, Jo, Dell, and Frank Worthen. In fact, it was Bev who coined the term Love In Action, a fact she has always regretted. She says, "There is NO LOVE in any of their actions. The only things that are cured are hams, not people."

You cant change a man's sexual orientation or preferences. Its permanent. There is no "Holy Spirit" that has the power to do this. Its unfortunate that people insist and try to, because John is absolutely right -- it only results in torment and chaos for those who are lead to their own slaughter. Let them live the only life they know. Its better than trying to live up to a life they cant.
