My mom, dad and grandma a about to get slammed by Hurricane Wilma. Please keep them in your thoughts as they ride out the storm in Boca Raton. I also have many close friends preparing for the destructive monster in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. We can only hope if they are in trouble that FEMA has its act together and my family won't be at risk because incompetent cronies are running around without a clue.
Hurricane Wilma is a perfect storm in that both Bush brothers, Jeb and George, are in charge. For some reason, this dynamic duo of dunces makes me very uneasy.

Did anyone see the Al Franken show on Sundance on Friday (or hear it on Air America radio) He had copies of the emails that went between the FEMA guy (I forget his name) who was IN New Orleans during Katrina and Brownie's office. The FEMA guy was screaming for help in his emails saying the levees had broken, food and water were running out at the Superdome and it was a major catastrophe. The emails he got back from Brown's office were that Brown needed some "down time" and that he had to find a place to have dinner (at least several hours) and that traffic was also tied up yatayatayata. You could almost hear them saying "let them eat cake". It would have been comical if it werent so tragic and outrageous beyond belief. Our country truly is a ruddlerless ship with psycho bush and all the rest of his worthless drones in charge. Gary (NJ)

I have been reading about these FEMA emails ... I dunno about the rest of you ... but this is tantamount to a crime in my book! Brownie should be charged with negligence and whatever else can be lumped into an indictment!
It is hard to fathom. Hell, as a CIO ... if my team began escalating to my attention (and I don't deal with life and death issues mind you) and I responded with ... I'm at dinner go away ... can you imagine the response that my CEO would have for me! ... it wouldn't be you're doing a "heckava job"!
