Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he wanted to "wipe Israel off the map". Instead of apologizing, he reiterated his statement saying, "My words are the Iranian nation's words. Westerners are free to comment, but their reaction is invalid." Totally embarrassed by his buffoon of a nutjob president, Ahmad Nateq Nouri, a senior cleric translates what Ahmadinejad really said.
"What the president meant was that we favor a fair and long-lasting peace in Palestine," Nouri told the Iranian Student News Agency.
Let me get this straight: "wipe Israel off the face of the map" = "a fair and long-lasting peace". Nice try Mac, but I'm not sure I'm buying it. Talk about trying to spin silk out of sour milk!
Sadly, this hate rhetoric is too typical of those who say they support the Palestinian cause. If the Palestinians would stop blowing up Jews they might actually have a state before the year 3025. Try channeling Martin Luther King Jr., instead of worshipping mindless martyrs. But, this whole wipe out Israel nonsense, is a dangerous delusion and severely undermines peace in the Middle East. It also makes the case for the U.S. or Israel to preemtively bomb Iran's incipient WMD program. World leaders who talk so irresponsibly simply can't be allowed to posses nuclear weapons.

As a sidenote, if the Religious Right of this country has their way, the United States will be nothing short of a westernized Iran. No separation of church and state, illegalization of abortion, no right to privacy, gays executed for private behavior. One must wonder where the Right gets its playbook from...

you really can't blame the palestinians for killing jews, I mean look at it a palestinian enters a nightclub blowing himself up as well as 4 other jews, the jews send the army into gaza and the westbank killing 40 palestinians, the only ones that I see as the real terrorists are the Jews, it really is no different than what hitler did to them 60 years ago. If Israel REALLY wants peace than they should stop retaliating everytime the palestinians do, and evacuate all settlements out of the west bank and gaza strip. And they need to stop changing their minds when it comes to treaties with the palestinians, our government learned that with our native americans. FYI: Israel is a complete blunder, its economy is held up by the 3 billion in aid that the U.S. sends every year, not to mention the nukes that we send to them, the real hipocrisy is letting Israel have nukes, while if a muslim nation such as Iran seeks to develop them, we threaten to invade them, It really is no wonder the muslim world hates us because of our blatant hipocrisy.

What you said is absolutely insane. First, the U.S loans Israel money which is paid back. Duh.
Second, the U.S. has not given Israel nuclear weapons. They are smart enough to make their own, although they have not officially decalred a nuclear arsenal.
Third, if you think the Muslim world is so great, go live there. It is a world full of dictatorships and extremism. Israel is the only true liberal democtracy in the area. Amazing that you would support dictatorships over a true democracy. Where are the Muslim democracies? The only one in the area is Turkey, and they are secular.
Fourth, it is absolutely crazy and offensive that you don't think Israel should defend themselves against terror. I dare say that you would not brazenly suggest that for any other nation on earth.
Fifth, I agree with the one point that Israel should leave all settlements that don't have to do with security. This is where they deserve some of the blame. Getting out of Gaza was a good start.
Sixth, why did the Palestinians stick by Arafat, a corrupt mobster for decades? He was a cancer, yet they stood by his side. Please explain such dysfunction.
Seventh, I have a problem giving a state to a group that routinely beats and jails their own citizens who are gay. Gay Palestinians fare better in Israel, for your information.
Finally, the Palestinians should get a state. But they must renounce terror, which they are unwilling to do. If they believed in non-violence they would have had a state decades ago. Maybe they don't really want a state, but they really want to "wipe Israel off the map", as the Iranian president stated.

look my point is that the israelis are treating the palestinians exactly the same way the U.S. government treated the indians, example, our government sets aside land as a reservation for the cheyenne tribe and they settle on it, Government begins moving settlers on such land, the cheyenne attack settlers. Government sends army to attack cheyenne also known as custer's last stand, indians decimate custers forces and kill custer themselves, 6 months latter the remaining cheyenne who consist of un-armed women and children are gunned down at wounded knee. Sound familiar, the jews are defending themselves they are part of the problem. And if muslim countries can't have nukes then the U.S. should confiscate israel's, Oh I don't want to live in a muslim country I was just pointing out the hipocrisy in the foreign policy we have over in the middle east. And I am real sick and tired of Jews playing the holocaust card as an excuse to continue their raping and murdering the palestinian people, besides you did answer why the jews are always killing more palestinians than the palestinians kill of Jews.
