Rosa Parks, whose refusal to give up her bus seat to a white man sparked the modern civil rights movement, died Monday evening. She was 92. Let us take a moment of silence to remember this brave woman who had the courage to do what is right in the face of tyranny. We owe this hero a tremendous amount of gratitude for making America a better, freer place.
Thank You Rosa. We will never forget you.

If every gay man and woman did something collectively just like Rosa did, think of the effect that might have on our government and society. She was indeed ahead of her time and will be deeply missed, her legacy will love forever.
To all my gay and lesbian friends in the struggle for equality.
You deserve no less than the front of the bus, or any seat you choose.
Fight the good fight as Mother Rosa did. She is our example of the quiet warrior, the humble opponent of a wretched institution.
I am a straight, black woman and with each blow-the gay child under siege in their own family, having no protection in school from harrassment, something stirs in me. Call it the Passion of Rosa, or Fannie Lou Hamer. Call it the lightening that crackles my bones. Be bold, be brave... I'm WITH you on that bus, in that classroom, that trench in Iraq, that wedding altar in Massachussetts... I'm WITH you to trounce them, where legions wish to segregate you with the same evil zeal as race segregationists did before. Rosa is in us and all around us... Stand up, even if you sit down...to gather signatures, to register voters, to write your Senators and Congressman in a pew in a house of worship. Her body is finally at rest...
But our souls will stir in vibration for equality and justice, even and ever so.

Yea, Rosa is my hero, I knew her story in high school. She encouraged me to be a brave person. It is true that we should always be strong and try to get the equal rights as others do... Fight for justice, fight for human rights, fight for our orientation, and also fight for peace...
