Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-NY, on NBC's "Meet the Press" said:

"I think if you were to hold the vote today, she would not get a majority either
in the Judiciary Committee or on the floor. The hearings are going to be make or
break for Harriet Miers in a way that they have not been for any other nominee.
Right now, she has a rough row to hoe."

Personally, I think she is going to go down. There is too much fire coming from too many directions. If you are getting sniped at from the left and shot at with a bazooka from the right, you are in quite a mess.

Wayne! I thought the bigger story from today's "Meet the Press" was Sen Kay Bailey Hutchinson's (R-TX) ludicrous diatribe about perjury! She had the audacity to claim that she doesn't think lying under oath -- or what she called "some perjury technicality" -- is a big deal.

Hey I didn't vote for her! I only recently reloc'd to Texas. But this ain't the tune she was playing eight years ago. My My at the hypocrisy.

Of course - having to live in this State is a daily embarassment these days.

Don't be embarrassed Paul, I live in NJ and I'm embarrassed to say that most of the corruption in our state is with the Democrats. But I'd vote for no one before I'd vote for a republikkkan.
As for Harriet, it's true she's a dud, but we have nothing to be particularly happy about if she goes down; the village idiot and his handlers would still just pick another ultra right fascist; maybe worse than she.

Miers is finished. I predict that she will not even make it to the hearings. She will withdraw her name this week.

I'm extremely uneasy about Miss Miers, most especially because she's so "in" with this Texas bunch.

But I agree ... I shudder to think who would be put up in her stead!

i coming from Singapore,To a person 團體制服here.
I was an excellent credit咖啡 staff.Many well-known in the credit 徵信社company to work, and excellent credit 徵信performance.
I love this job;I work brought endless fun.I hope that the formal減肥I appreciated the boss .I hope to continue to work in the credit徵信.
I work seriously,Peaceful coexistence with colleagues.The company has no particular request, 徵信社I can only hope that the wisdom I 燈光音響play.
