Is it just me or does "ex-gay" Chad Thompson (Middle in pink) look a little too happy posing with hot Justin (Right)? You know what irritates me about Chad? On the front page of his website he dresses like he is a teenager at a rave. But if you go deeper into his website one can view crowsfeet on his face. He clearly is no longer a teenager. His fake rave boi act is just a cheap and tawdry way to recruit confused young men into his troubling ministry.
His bogus look matches his phony rhetoric against homophobia. He tries to play semantic games and speak out against gay bashing. But, his stance on homosexuality is really what causes hatred against gay people in the first place. If he is such a tolerant guy, why is he dedicating his life to make other people "change"? What a hypocrite.
In any case, I'm fed up with "ex-gays" posing with or mentoring hot guys. It reminds me of when I once went to an Exodus conference and all the hot guys hook up, uh, meet up, as prayer partners. What a sad, sick joke! (Look Close: Chad's not a boi)

Chad is a troll and a letch. His web-site is pure smoke and mirrors designed to fool people. All the creep needs is a glow stick in his hand to complete the BS act. But he'd probably shove the glowstick up his ass and think of Justin.
I looked on Chad's web-site and you were right, Wayne. He is posing as a "cool" teenager, like you said.
His club kid routine is low and makes me want to vomit. But I must say, he was doable before he got wrinkled and fat. These so-called ex-queens will stop at nothing and say anything to trick people. So much for morals.
I've met the guy once. He's a total scum ball, and a sleaze too. His interest in kids is alarming and weird. Does he not think older people need to change? Not only is he a liar, but he is also ageist.
If I were a parent, I'd keep my child a million miles away from this dude.
When they pair off with the hot guys at the exodus prayer meetings, they're probably praying to get laid with each other. That loud pink shirt Chad is wearing is a big freudian slip...or maybe it's just a Victoria's Secret slip! (laugh)

Thompson comments on exgaywatch.com occasionally. The last time he came over they caught him in an out and out lie and he stubbornly refused to admit it. He claimed to have been taken out of context, and then when the context was shown, and was clearly a lie, he did the old "agree to disagree" weaseling. He's a garden variety fraud.

I found his comments at ex-gay watch to be complete bullshit. There was a recent thread on "healing from homosexuality" in which he was called on his numerous quotes of the bogus Cameron "studies" and he repeatedly denied using these or that the quotes were taken out of context. This was clearly not the case, but he kept up his phoney born again spin and people just gave up trying to point out this obvious flaw.

I have tried, kinda sorta, to not be so hard on Chad.
After I talked with him for over an hour on the phone, there were some things I figured out.
1. He parrots the old ex gay party line about distant father, yadda yadda yadda
2. He's got no serious romantic experience either way-and he sounded immature to me in this regard for someone his age.
3. He's in denial like every other ex gay or conversion supporter that the struggle is with heterosexual conceit, not homosexuality itself.
4. He won't concede that the expectation of conversion as an option, and lecturing on it has had the debate floor for way too long and those who support it won't go away now and let gay people (who this affects) have their turn.
5. He doesn't get the principle of identity, and how many people in history of OTHER identities (like Jews) have had their identities violently compromised and in an atmosphere of acute violence against one's identity, speaking as if it's EVER a choice to change one's identity, is a lie.
Chad is one of those people, that while HE thinks he's well meaning and justified, he really just keeps working to enter a situation, and then completely fucks it up.
His ego is evidently too fragile to accept that he's truly screwing up.

BTW, if this old party line about fathers is so much of what causes homosexuality in BOYS-then conversion of gay men isn't what they should be concerned about, but advocating that heterosexual men should be counseled on the qualities they need to be better fathers.
Of course I know the answer to that. Hetero men would tell them where they could stick that idea.
I don't wonder any more why I have developed the strongest urge lately to step up to anything a conversion supporter says and go... DUH!

I can't be sure its the same guy, but I was hit on by a dude who looks just like Chad. I could pick him out of a line-up. However, I would never go public because there is the smallest chance it is not him. I am a "twinky" type and the guy who looked like Chad was surrounded by skinny guys who looked like me.
I'm pretty sure this is simply a means for him to meet cute, young guys to fulfill whatever fantasies are going on in that head of his. They can call it what they want, but I think it's just an alternative gay bar--and I guess that's ok, different strokes for different folks, eh?

Unlike many of you, Chad is NOT trying to fulfill gay sex fantasies. He is trying to reconcile Christianity--the goal of which is to give meaning to an otherwise meaningless life--with homosexuality. It's not hard to sell me on the possibility of ex-gay orientation, since I believe sexual orientation to be fluid. If your view of God and the afterlife leans you toward one end of the sexual spectrum, then so be it.
I know Chad personally, and he is a legitimately nice guy who wouldn't go around having sex with males OR females, so it's ridiculous to bring his past sexual experience into the argument.
It's also ridiculous for Mr. Besen -- who calls himself an activist and public speaker? -- to call Chad's message into question based on a simple photograph, or on the way Chad presents himself as an individual. If he's 27, acting like he's 21, so what? That is irrelevant. It's a logical fallacy to write off an argument because of its place of origin (see: genetic fallacy). I listen to what you all have to say, even if your rhetoric makes you sound like sex-deprived thirteen year olds.
But most importantly, you're missing the point of Chad's message. His most important point is, Christians should love homosexuals UNCONDITIONALLY and refrain from judgment! The gay community could use that kind of support, so I'd take it where I can get it.
Chad's young and, contrary to what you may think, open-minded, so if you make sound arguments (rather than simply attacking his character) he will surely listen to your perspective.
Until then, keep your glowsticks and your ludicrous accusations to yourself. You should be smarter than to stereotype someone for wearing a pink shirt or having his arms around another man.

Oh bite me. He clearly is gay and he needs to come out of the closet already. If you're so sold on the ex-gay myth you need to present more evidence. Sexuality can be fluid but that's not what these bozos are advocating. They're saying being straight is innately 'better than' being gay and causing self-loathing and doubt in people when they don't mean to. They're hiding behind Christianity and acting like what they do is 'moral.'
If Chad really does like the pussy (you know this isn't true at all) he can present that in a way without hating gays or acting like he's so much 'enlightened' now. Since when does proclaiming one's heterosexuality mean bashing gays?
