America has identified a grave threat to national security: Al-Gayda.
Pentagon officials have spied on student groups opposed to the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" ban on openly gay military personnel, according to media reports.
A February protest at New York University was one of the events under government surveillance, NBC News reported last week. The network reported that the law school's gay advocacy group, OUTlaw, was classified as "potentially violent" by the Pentagon.
NBC also reported that a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" protest at Universityof California Santa Cruz, which included a gay kiss-in, was labeled as a"credible threat" of terrorism by the Pentagon.
Folks, how the hell do we expect to win the war on terrorism when we are using resourceses to spy on kiss-ins? What a disgusting abuse of power and waste of taxpayers money. If we get hit again by the real terrorists, we can blame the clowns who dreampt up this absurd and invasive spy campaign.
This story is important because President Bush is asking the nation to trust him so he can illegally spy on American citizens without warrants. This latest abuse of power shows that his administration should not be allowed to take away our liberties and freedoms in the specious name of fighting terrorism.

How can our President, make a big show of the ubiquitous blue stained fingers of voting Iraquis and talk about how necessary this war is and how on top of things he is.
Meanwhile, our borders are absolutely porous. He couches constant invasion by millions of unknown illegal aliens. Who now have seriously damaged our infrastructure and security and put Americans at risk because of our lack of knowing who is who and why they are here.
Federal banking and social service laws are being broken by these institutions to accomodate illegal aliens without vetting them and their immigrant status.
These are the exact same neglectful situations that facilitated 9/11. And losing the lives of 3,000 or more people a YEAR to illegal alien criminals is unacceptable.
Let alone that many on a single morning, as what happened in 2001.
Our President has convinced the public that homosexuals who marry or serve the military are worse and more dangerous than foreigners with no respect for our laws.
And yet, he's trying to work more laws that would only give incentive to more and more invaders, instead of respecting the patriotism, contribution and talent of gay citizens.
There are days I want to take Bush by his chicken neck and shake him!
