Priest Attacked In Homophobic Assault In The UK

A priest has been beaten with a metal baseball bat in what police say was an unprovoked homophobic attack.

The Rt Rev Dr Barry Rathbone, 37, was sitting in Bournemouth Central Gardens eating a burger after a night out, when he was approached by a man and a woman. The man began shouting homophobic abuse and hit Dr Rathbone, who is openly gay, leaving him with two broken ribs and several broken fingers.

I read a commentary today in WorldNetDaily by Craig McMillan titled, "His Homoness vs. the Pope".
Regarding recent comments by Bsp. Robinson on the Pope's edict.
Mr. McMillan's vitriol is typical of WND commenters.
But his was especially nasty because he went on to demonize gays who want inclusion in Boy Scouts and the military.
I always wonder at heterosexuals who write as experts on the motives and abilities of gay people.

I wrote McMillan, identified myself as a straight black woman and reminded him of historical proof of which minorities are traditionally isolated as uncivilized and treated to particular brutality.

And confronted with impossible terms for integration.
There's this attack, and the horrible beating death of that young bartender just a few months ago.
See, it's the gay people that suffer the consequences of the Pope's actions and people like McMillan.
And they know it.

And as I reminded McMillan, knowing you won't suffer such consequences isn't courage or moral standards, but an attitude arrogated by knowing what you are not.

I dont believe in hell, but if there is one, there's a special place in it for this piece of shit pope who now has blood on his hands. (Like many of his predecessors).

This type of backlash is to be expected given the piece of trash just released by the homophobe criminals in the upper eschelons of the RCC. This document is unjust, unwarranted and should be immediately revoked with an apology to the gay and lesbian community. These so-called religious folk make me sick.
