The New York Timesreports that the battle among Republicans over immigration policy and border security is threatening to undercut a decade-long effort by President Bush and his party to court Hispanic voters, just as both parties are gearing up for the 2006 elections.
Oh, isn't that too bad. I hope the Dems sweep through Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico in 2006 and 2008.

How is it, that post 9/11 and with daily acts of criminal behavior from identity fraud to outright murder, rape and hit and run accidents, our politicians Dem or Rep manage to make illegal aliens a 'model class' to be recognized to the extent that MORE federal laws are broken to accomodate them?
While, gay and lesbian citizens are kept at arm's length from the protections and access to even the mission of the Bill of Rights to just be able to marry and have children or serve your country in the military or be nurtured in the Boy Scouts?
We KNOW that our lax illegal alien policies and lack of enforcement directly led to 9/11.
So, illegal aliens get accomodated, and gay citizens get ignored.
Clearly gay citizens seem to be of less value...and should be outraged by this affront from all branches of a government that rendered them invisible.
