Due to her bad personality and ties to the military contractor who pleaded guilty to bribing Representative Randy Cunningham, political observers expected Katherine Harris to give up her bid for the U.S. Senate.

Instead of seeing the writing on the wall, she has decided to write up to $10 million in personal checks to save her flailing, failing and ailing campaign. In essence, the woman who helped propel George W. Bush to "victory" in Florida in 2000, is trying to buy her way to victory against Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.

Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, like they did in Bush v. Gore, Harris is doomed to throw a lot of money down a rat hole.
