Media Matters
reports that Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and host of the daily Christian radio show The Albert Mohler Program, defended Pat Robertson's recent claim that Muslims are "motivated by demonic power," and expanded on Robertson's comments, saying:
"Well, I would have to say as a Christian that I believe any belief system, any world view, whether it's Zen Buddhism or Hinduism or dialectical materialism for that matter, Marxism, that keeps persons captive and keeps them from coming to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, yes, is a demonstration of satanic power."

The one thing that fundamentalists have going for them is the fact that most people aren't truly aware of the things that these religious extremists believe in. If Americans became knowledgeable about their weird and nefarious doctrines, they would be laughed out of the country. Or driven out.

Interesting, then, that so many people (including GLBT individuals) keep running TO Jesus (who in the Bible talked about Hell and eternal punishment quite often) rather than away from Him...

Well if they want to run to Jesus they WONT be running to any rightwing fundamentalist church, because Jesus no more abides within their walls than does Ganesha (no offense to Hinduism).
And just as many people LEAVE christianity for other faiths, or none at all!
