For the first time, scientists have confirmed Earth is melting at both ends, which could have disastrous effects for coastal cities and villages.
Antarctica has been called "a slumbering giant" by a climate scientist who predicts that if all the ice melted, sea levels would rise by 200 feet. Other scientists believe that such a thing won't happen, but new studies show that the slumbering giant has started to stir.

Hey, if he had the power to sink New Orleans (all since 2001, no less) he's GOT to have the ability to "sink the world".
(Now WHY did he send that record snowfall up the east coast a couple weekends back, and that record snow in Japan this winter...just to throw us off the global warming trail temporarily, I suppose?)

Bush has been in the office for six years. What has he done to even INVESTIGATE global warming? Of course, a man of such limited intellectual curiosity did nothing. He is oblivious to the subject. Christie Whitman resigned from the EPA because of his lack of interest in the environment, remember?
How about the president's allowing industry to double the amount of mercury in the water? What about drilling for oil in ANWR (Alaska)? And, of course, the list continues. And "one record snowfall" does not dispel the possibility of global warming! So you saw a big snow storm and concluded the global warming wasn't true??!?
Friends, this is the kind of thinking we get when fundamentalists (or pretend fundamentalists in GW's case) are running the country. Maybe he believes what former sec'y of the interior James Watt had to say in 1981: "We don't need to worry about protecting the environment, because Jesus is coming soon". America deserves so much better.
