Porno Pete Compares Himself To Mother Teresa and Simon Wiesenthal

In an outrageous attempt to justify his transparent Peeping Tom routine, "Porno Pete" LaBarbera had the unmitigated gall to compare himself to Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal and Mother Teresa.

I hate to break it to you Pete, but you are no Mother Teresa or Simon Wiesenthal. Your despoiled name - usually whispered in polite company - should never be uttered in the same breath - no less the same sentence - as these two heroes.

How disgraceful, that Porno Pete thinks slinking around with a bottle of discount poppers and zipper-mouthed masks in the wee hours of the night, in the name of "research," compares to busting Nazi fugitives or feeding orphans. His delusional commentary just goes to show how divorced he is from reality.

Interestingly, Porno Pete never tries to explain why he only focuses on risque gay activity, while ignoring similar heterosexual practices. He'll repeatedly go to bathhouses or gay leather parties, but never to a straight swingers club or a motorcycle gang sex party - where there will also be plenty of leather. Based on his "career" path, it appears as though Pete prefers the company of burly men and is seemingly allergic to women.

Pete does not seem to understand that having a job dedicated to unfairly making gay people look bad is raw hate of the most ignoble kind. He is clearly consumed by a raging, if not peculiar, fire within, that can't easily be explained away on his vanity blog. Fortunately, there are therapists well-trained to resolve such inner-turmoil.

Additionally, Porno Pete failed to address why he keeps returning to the same leather parties, year-after-year-after-year-after-year. He's had the same exhausting shtick since the early 90's. It was a stretch to call his gig an expose in 1992. In 2007, it's called a tired rerun.

In another time-warp flashback, Porno Pete smeared me and another activist as "comrades" - implying that we are somehow Communists. Good Lord, even right wing Republicans stopped labeling people Communists fifteen years ago. It seems LaBarbera's rhetoric - like his career - is stuck in the distant past.

Finally, my addressing Porno Pete's fascination with gay S&M is not hate, as he vacuously claims, but a kind, helping hand. Pete, if you need a good shrink, just contact me. No condemnation, no judgement - just a friendly, good-faith attempt to turn your spiritually vacant and psychologically tormented life around. I'm here to help you and your unlucky wife - who must feel a bit abandoned as you leave her in the country house while you prance off to Chicago's Steamworks bathhouse - yet, again.

Pete, it is time to get out of the sauna mist and go home to the missus. As they say in recovery programs, the first step is admitting you have a problem.

"Porno Pete's" problem is actually fairly simple: He takes pictures of all the weird, fringe activities that he himself is secretly drawn to so that he can, once and for all, prove to himself that he's as despicable and loathsome a human being as he really believes he is deep down inside. Peter is simply "projecting"; a psychological technique that besets those like him. He is just one of many gay men who just aren't man enough to properly look themselves in the mirror while exhibiting that one little bit of "moral righteousness" that he seems to consistently leave out of his character resume: self-honesty.

Porno Pete - love the name. This guy is one sorry piece of work. Does he really think anyone takes him seriously?

If he'd lose a few pounds and get a hair transplant, he'd be almost doable. What a shame that he has wasted his life in a closet of his making. What a total loser. I bet his wife is a plain-Jane, fat sow and his kids are a mess - drinking, drugs and rap sheets.

Who does this guy think he's kidding? It's one thing if Mother Teresa posed as an abortion doctor to take pictures of abortions occuring at clinics. She didn't. She promoted her beliefs by acting in the positive, not negatively trying to dismantle the lives of others. If I were the religious right and the exgay community, I'd be pretty suspicious and careful about what this guy might cost me in the future. John Paulk and Michael Johnston, anybody?

Here's what I want to say to Pete.

I'm not going to psychoanalyze you like some. Most of us have seen many times that the most vehemently anti gay people are hiding what they consider to be a dark secret, which is where these suggestions are coming from, but we don't really know.

I would like to know this however...

You actually indicate in your response that you are "exposing gay extremism". I'm glad you called it extremism because it is. It has absolutely nothing to do with me or the vast majority of other gay guys on the street (or lesbians for that matter). I cannot relate to what goes on at IML any more than you can relate to what goes on at the Chicken Ranch in Nevada or a swinger's party (I am going to assume that anyway). If I wanted to learn about the average straight person, I would not go to those places to get my facts.

So if its extremism, why is the next step for you to paint it as if it were the norm among gay people, and then take it a step further and use it as a reason why we should be denied certain rights? And moreover, my children should not have the same rights, benefits and security as the children of straight people?

Do you really think Jesus would have treated gay people like you do? Do you really think he would say the things you do? I think we'd be the people he'd sit down and eat with and you would be the hyprocrite observing and criticizing him.

I am fortunate to know Peter LaBarbera personally, and even more blessed to count his beautiful and generous (and petite, not fat) wife as my friend. It's one thing (not right, but predictable) for you grown men to spitefully disparage Pete, whom you regard as your enemy -- and who for your info is definitely neither homosexual nor self-righteous -- but it's absolutely despicable for you to call his wife a "fat sow" or to speak hatefully about innocent children who have said/done nothing about/to you. Your nasty, unprovoked slander betrays your true character, proving Satan's hold on your heart. Repent! (Or at least have the civility to apologize to Mrs. LaBarbera...)

Peter LaBarbara is just a guy trying to make a living. He is trying to get a thousand people to send him twenty bucks every month.

That is what it, and he ,is all about. He figures there are at least 1,000 gullible folks out there who will provide his family with a quarter million dollars a year.

Anon, get a grip. Your friend is a nasty, obsessed fraud who ought to be stopped. He repeatedly falsely portrays gay people by attending leather events, watching gay porn, and going to bath houses. How would you rate this activity of his? I call it obsession and a sign of a deep seated revenge for something that occurred in this pathetic little person's life. Don't expect any apologies to this dude. As for satan, he/she/it, like god, exists only in your mind. Start worrying about your own "repenting" and leave the rest of us alone.

Why doesn't he visit heterosexual sex clubs and film his own kind first? His behavior aside from being hypocritical and bigoted is more than bizarre and is suspect and why is he obsessing so much about Gay sex in the first place? He seems to think we have the monopoly on sex and kinky sex at that. The next time he attends one of those IML meetings, why doesn't someone hit on him and see how he reacts and better yet, get someone to secretly take pics of him in action?

Unfortunately I have seen Peter Labarbera's wife and she is not very attractive, bordering on doggy. His children also are rather homely looking. This is to be expected though based on the type of man who is fathering these children. I felt so sorry when I looked at his family because their father is a homosexual in denial and that has got to take its toll on everyone involved. Peter spends all day, 24/7, writing and thinking about gay sex, gay bondage, gay threesomes, etc. The warped things is that his family and followers buy the excuse that he is always focused on gay things because it is for "research" and his "blog".

I myself think someone should report him to the authorities to ensure he is not touching or doing anything inappropriate with his boys in the name of "research". Its always the ones who are gay obsessed that do strange things to people in cover of darkness.

If Barbara does have several children, then he definitely fits the profile for a "brokeback closet case".

Have you noticed how most closet cases who are married to a beard wife have more children than most average hetero couples - usually double or triple.
