Desperate 'Porno Pete' Plays Victim Card

The American Family Association's One News Now website is reporting that the Holiday Inn in Naperville, Ill., has canceled the reservation for Americans for Truth Against Homosexuality's first annual banquet. Only One News Now is attempting to call Americans for Truth's friendly gathering a "Christian banquet" and calling the move discrimination based on religion.

The story goes, according to the Blade Blog, that AFTAH's "Porno Pete" LaBarbera told Holiday Inn that the event may garner protests from "homosexual activists." Then, Holiday Inn said that it couldn't hold the banquet there anymore because the hotel does not want negative publicity. Now, Porno Pete, the fake conservative that he is, is considering a lawsuit and is playing victim. Whatever happened to the "free market"?

It is clear by this pathetic and desperate cheap publicity stunt, that Porno Pete's rural anti-gay group is faltering. In his first year, he has failed to gain traction, a true following or a foothold with the right. He is not invited to any of the major "pro-family" gatherings and his only avenue is PR gimmicks. I almost feel bad for him. How does he pay the electricity bills? Or, maybe he prefers to work without light, which explains his Dark Ages mentality.

Also, the Holiday Inn is not a porn shop or a Fiddle House book store. It is a respectable chain. Most of Porno Pete's presentations are so XXX that it would be inappropriate to hold an event for his salacious group if there are children around. Good for the Holiday Inn for protecting innocent kids from Pete's pathologies.

Finally, I vote Porno Pete as "Most Likely To Be The Next Larry Craig." Readers, who do you vote for? Lou Sheldon is a close second.

If not outed by then, maybe Lindsay Graham, David Dreier and I have a strange gut feeling about Tom DeLay, maybe Gary Bauer, definitely Sheldon, but maybe Craig's debacle may have scared them even further into the closet. They must be quaking.

People like Porno Pete always play the "Christian Victim" card. Of course, these hotels hold Christian conferences all the time without issue. It was only when this particular hotel discovered that it was actually a hate group that was attempting to rent out the premises did the hotel do what was right; they couldn't run away fast enough. And I'm sure when Pete called them and said, "By the way, 'homosexual activists' may protest this event", they knew they were dealing with a full-fledged kook. We are witnessing a most deeply, deeply troubled individual here.

AFTAH is going down hill. LaBarbera was a failure when he ran the Illinois Family Institute too.

If you read his web site, you'll notice he uses a lot of third-party postings, rather than taking the time (and energy) to write his own. Of course, how many times can one visit the IML Leather Market or Gay Pride Parade, without it looking like he really wants to be part of the crowd?

Chicago just had its Northalsted Market Days-- the Midwest's largest street fest, right in the heart of Boystown. He didn't even bother attending this year, but couldn't miss an opportunity to lie and distort. This guy recycled his 2005 column on Market Days and reposted it, while throwing in references to Mayor Naugle from Ft. Lauderdale to "freshen it up".

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

LaBabs definitely has my vote for "most likely to next be outed." Although, I hope it is in a respectable manner - a self-admitted statement.

And while he's playing the victim card, maybe he'll call for defense from hate crimes laws. Irony, anyone?

Maybe it was cancelled because Pete wanted a sling hung up in the conference room so he could show his family values crowd how those nasty 'pervs' do it; with him being the bottom of course! Complimentary lube with your shampoo Peter?!

I would bet somebody contacted Holiday Inn and informed them of what LaBarbera is all about - piss, pedophilia, S&M, scat, lewd acts, and everything else LaBarbera is obsessed with.

Pretty much AFTAH hosting an event is no different than the IML.

I feel sorry for LaBarbera's children, growing up with a homosexual aficianado as a father. Wow!

LaBarbera will be caught fucking around with men in the bath-houses he frequents, but you know he'll scream "IT'S RESEARCH!" LOL
