After watching as much as I possibly could till I just had to stop, These are the same people who are rooting for Mike Huckabee. They acualy want to go back some 200 years in time and make America a Old Testiment Country,they want to bring back torture and death penalties to Homosexuals and bring back slavery, they don't say it but thier rhetoric plainly shows it. One they start fucking up the constitution, we're screwed.

Ken, I had to stop watching it too about half way through as I could feel my lunch working its way back up. That 'church' looked more like a prison fortress than a house of God; how appropriate for a bunch of hateful, sanctimonious FAKE 'Christians'.

Yes, I also had to quit watching after two minutes. There's just something about this "anti-brain food" that causes my mind to become nauseous. The spiritual arrogance of these people is very troubling. They have the truth, and how nice of them it is to want to save all of us poor lost souls.
Funny how they simply can't be content to choose to embrace this mystical worldview for themselves; they have this utter compulsion to push it onto everyone else. That says A WHOLE LOT. Whenever a human being exhibits such boorish, rude cultural behavior, it's always a clear sign that deep down they're attempting to recreate reality so that it fits with their superstitions. The anger, angst and obvious irritation that we often see coming from these types people is a by-product of their inability to do so.

Last week at WalMart, I was accosted by a man (25 yo or so) who out of the blue asked me if I knew Jesus, "cuz He died for my sins." I responded to him with, "yes, I know him biblically." Naturally, he didn't get the joke. (Fundies are not known for their sense of humor.) I did go into a sermon as to why it was important to live one's religion oneself and allow the natives to have their own, otherwise we would end up like the Taliban forbidding women to show their hair and to drive cars (wonder if mule drawn carts are allowed?, probably not),and to go out on a date, and to _______________________(fill in the blank). What is happening in this country is that the U.S. population has become kookier than ever when it comes to religion just like in Afghanistan, just like in Iran, just like in______________(next!).

Richard, the thing is, its not going to stop until we end this ridiculous requirement of presidential candidates making it known that they profess a religious belief system as if that were a panacea to running let alone voting for. NO other western democracy I know of has this problem. I find it offensive and quite frankly, turns me off voting for any of them. Keep religion in the home, not in the public arena, after all, its a choice, nobody came into this world religious, hypocritical, or bigoted. All are learned behavior, none of which has a place in the political system.
